For Sale RE 700cc twin Right hand (only) Cylinder Head (20 October 2004)
| [Wednesday, October 20, 2004 11:43 P ]
  • For Sale:
    Message:CLICK FOR PICTURES
  • the head is something that I have come across in a bunch of britsh parts I bought so I don't know much about it. I believe it to be an Interceptor head RE 700cc twin (right side only), but I am just going from the parts books on Hitchcock m/c pages. Overall the condition is good - no broken fins and generally quite clean but no valves or springs or covers just the rockers.

    Best regards !

Rickman SWAP for Interceptor II 750 1968 (30 September 2003)
| [Monday, 22 September 2003 10:21 ]
  • Swap:
Message: I have a genuine Rickman Metisse Interceptor II. I adore it. However 90% of my riding is 2 up, and frankly, it's too small!!! I therefore need to do something about it.............

I will consider a direct swap (with cash adjustment)for an equally impressive condition (i.e. engine mods etc.) RE Interceptor II in either UK or US spec. I just might consider a direct sale IF there's an Interceptor II waiting
    in the wings somewhere

    It is the orange one!

The frame no. is R1033 (certificate of authentication).

The engine no. is 1B2483X (the "X" is perhaps the most important part as
it confirms it was one of the last models for "export".

The bike was manufactured on 26.11.1970 and first registered in 1973. Sorry no Picture at this stage.

Load of Interceptor parts.
 [Pictures] | [Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 05:15:34 ]

SOLD

  • Selling: Load of Interceptor parts.
  • Location:Van Nuys, CA USA
  • Description:

I have come into possession of a load of Interceptor parts. I am a Triumph man and have no knowledge of them. i have a frame, complete with swingarm, (but NO seat/fender rail) a pair of nice heads (missing two rocker covers but no broken fins), a number side case half (no other half darn it!!) an inner and outer primary in nice shape (outer is chromed and kinda old) and a transmission that is definately RE but perhaps not Interceptor, several barrels, but all with broken fins (fixable??). pair of nice heads: good condition, greasy and dirty but all fins are there. Missing rocker caps on both intake sides. Vales and guides in place.

I also have lots of specialized bolts and nuts and studs and brackets that may or may not be for the Interceptor. There is also a tank, but I cannot tell if it is Interceptor or not. How do i tell?? The frame appears un molested with no major modifications but there may be addditions to it of little lugs, etc. Nothing was raked or cut off.

Tranny: Good shape, turns, shifts, etc. Shafts in good nick, box is NOT cracked.

Primary covers. Inner and outer. Chrome is fair. pics make it look worse than it is.

Primary side case: Number is YA15300. Pretty good shape.

Crank assembly with rods and barrels. Not pictured. Rusty but not pitted. Rods look good and fit tight with saftey wires (?). Barrels have busted fins and do not look too nice.

Please indicate that I have several other parts, like motor mounts, etc. Also indicate that I will help arrange shipping anywhere in the world. Buyer to pay all shipping expenses. Please list parts as a "MAKE OFFER" situation. I am NOT looking to GET RICH but would like a FAIR PRICE and always appreciate selling to the end user.
