Ann’s Involvement in the design of the new Royal Enfield Interceptor.

My Royal Enfield Interceptor http://www.ozemate.com/interceptor web site in 2001 informed people about the classic late sixties Royal Enfield 750cc Interceptor muscle bike, which we've had 3 of since 1972!
With a high-performance engine at 52 Hp doing zero to 100kph (0-60,ph) in 6.9 sec it was one of the best bikes you could buy from the UK in the late sixties.
It was not to be confused with 250 cc models from the 50's still produced by India for decades as commuter bikes with about 15hp.
I also created a discussion group on Yahoo for this unique bike, which in 18 years grew to 550 members worldwide and with over 24,000 posts to support users and renovators of this unique classic Aston Martin equivalent of a motorcycle in the sixties.

For many years we hoped that Royal Enfield India would produce a big bike of more than 500cc. Finally in the last couple of years, with a UK design office, they did just that; the 650cc Interceptor and Constellation bikes and we jumped at it. We were very surprised at how quick and fast the bike was with a great sound from the unique 270-degree offset twin setup. But before deciding to buy, we scrutinized many reviews and tried a few test rides. Was the new Interceptor up to the task?
In one of the Interceptor YouTube test ride review videos, I noticed a friend from the discussion group (Jeremy, General Manager Baxter Cycle IOWA USA) in an Interceptor YouTube test ride review video. I emailed him to check if the new Interceptor was capable for overtaking etc. at higher speeds.
No problems and he said he was very impressed by the bike. So we did at another high speed test ride on the freeway, at Team Moto-Springwood. The 650 proved itself just as responsive as Ann's 800 cc Triumph. The SIII Interceptor has 4 valves per cylinder, fuel injection, six gears, Pirelli tyres and ABS brakes partly Bosh and sold with 3 years warranty.
At home Ann had first opted for buying the Black one, but of all the colours she then picked the chromed one from the dealer's floor.

Two days LATER, Jeremy sent an email with an image, showing a 38-year-old photo of Ann which originated from a photo of our (now) fifty-year-old Interceptor on the beach at North Stradbroke Island Australia. The sketched design artists copy shows the same photo but her sitting on the new (2019) Interceptor? It was apparently an artists sketch used in the design process of the new 2019 design, they also included the girl on the bike (below).
The Designer of the new bike had found that old picture for inspiration on my 2001 website on the internet (try the Art button then second photo set).
Not knowing what had transpired, the very new model and colour option they had drew her on, happened to be the bike she also bought, of half a dozen possible colours!!!
Gosh, this story is like a movie script. Lassie come home, full circle. It sure was meant to happen.
