The World of Ultralights

The availability of lightweight, high power output engines enabled a totally new concept in aviation which put flying within reach of the average person at affordable costs, and within a much more relaxed recreational atmosphere which General Aviation has steadily drawn away from since its early flying club days.

From the early 1980's and the time of 'minimum aircraft' which amounted to home-built collections' of open tubes and Spartan appointments, the range of Ultralight types is ever broadening and becoming more sophisticated.

You may still access the basic distinct overlap between Ultralights and General Aviation to the extent that many machines could be registered in either category and the hours you fly in either category will be recognised by the other.

Ultralighting is recreational flying in the true sense.

General Conditions for Student Pilot Certificate

An applicant for the issue of Student Pilot Certificate must have attained the age of 15 years and sign a declaration that their health is of a standard equivalent to that required for the issue of a Private Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence in Australia.

Flight Instructions Dual $110 per hour (incl. GST)

Solo under instruction $110 per hour (incl. GST)

Classroom Lectures $33 per hour (incl. GST)

Flight Training Notes $87 per set (incl. GST)

AUF Membership $115 (+GST)

Caboolture Aero Club Membership $70 per annum

Private Hire to licensed pilots $70 per hour (+GST) (Conditions Apply)
